1. About us

These terms apply to services from The Dutch Coaching Studio, a trade name of Het Studiecafé.

2. Registration and agreement

Registration alone does not commit you to a plan. We first review your goals, level and availability. Your agreement begins when you accept our offer and these terms and we confirm your registration, or when you make the agreed payment.

The service description, price, payment schedule and validity in your offer or shown before payment form part of the agreement.

For students under 18, a parent or legal guardian makes the agreement and is responsible for payment. We confirm their permission before arranging coaching or payment.

3. Payment

Pay by the method and deadline in your offer or payment request. Instalments cover the whole package; they are not a monthly subscription you can cancel separately.

For late payments, we first send a reminder and allow the legally required payment period before charging permitted collection costs.

4. Your 14 day withdrawal period

Consumers buying a service online normally have 14 days to withdraw without giving a reason. To withdraw, email hello@dutchcoachingstudio.com.

If you expressly request an early start and later withdraw, you pay for the part already provided. Your right ends after full performance only with the required consent and acknowledgement. Separate digital content may have different withdrawal rules, which require express consent and acknowledgement before immediate supply.

For the Exam Readiness Check, early start is an optional, separate choice before payment, confirmed by email. Otherwise, we arrange your check after 14 days. Opening its online tasks does not end your right to withdraw. With your express consent and acknowledgement, that right ends only after the entire check, live appointment and results discussion are complete.

5. Changing appointments

You can change or cancel an appointment free of charge up to 24 hours before it starts. Later cancellations and missed appointments count as used. Your coach may leave after waiting 10 minutes.

If we cancel, we reschedule without deducting hours. We may make exceptions for special circumstances; these do not create a general entitlement.

6. Packages and refunds

Use your hours within four months of the agreed start date, unless your offer states otherwise. You are responsible for booking in time. Extensions must be agreed in writing; unused hours otherwise expire, subject to mandatory law.

After the withdrawal period, packages are normally nonrefundable. We may agree exceptions in writing. Any credit for the Readiness Check follows the conditions in your offer.

After passing the relevant exam, you may receive a proportional refund for unused time in an additional five hour Exam Preparation block, based on its price and official proof of passing. This does not cover hours in the original programme.

7. Coaching and materials

We match your coach to your goals, level and availability. If needed, we may assign another suitable coach after consulting you.

Please attend appointments, use a suitable device and internet connection, and complete agreed preparation. Progress depends on your starting point, participation and practice. Neither coaching nor the Readiness Check guarantees a language level or exam result.

Materials belong to the studio or stated rights holder and are for your personal use. Copying, sharing, selling, publishing or commercial use requires written permission.

8. Privacy and complaints

Our Privacy statement explains how we use your data. Send questions or complaints to hello@dutchcoachingstudio.com. We aim to respond within 14 days.

Dutch law applies. Mandatory consumer rights, including protection in your country of residence, remain unaffected.
